How we are helping a school in Tanzania with your help and money.

We are trying not to become too emotive with this site and there are many shocking stories that could be told, but suffice to say that Tanzania like many other African countries has been ravaged by AIDS.

A natural by product is that there are a very high number of young orphans in the area who need our help.

Generally speaking, whilst food is not abundant few of these children starve.  They nevertheless need such charity as we can find it in our hearts to give.

Here we can see a young girl preparing a meal for herself and other orphans.

Survival for most of these children is probably assured but we would like to bring them so much more and with your help we are doing just that.

Here we see a school assembly. It is always held outside since no room in the school is big enough.

All the children wear school uniform to help them feel a sense of identity and belonging.  But we do need to buy many more uniforms.

Whilst the government built the school buildings they provided little else.

This shows an outside view of the school which has seven teachers for the six hundred children.

It is our view that without education the mistakes of the past will be repeated time and again. Education brings much more than the ability to read and count.  It teaches of the dangers of disease from poor sanitation.

Only with education can the benefits we are bringing to these children be sustained.

Hundreds of desks have been supplied by Health Aid for Africa. For centuries all education has been by simple word of mouth. Nobody seemed to realize when building the school that learning now requires that you can read and write.

Here you can see part of a shipment of basic materials arriving at the school donated by Health Aid for Africa.

Largely comprising writing materials and exercise books.

The children loved doing this picture for Red Nose Day.

Unfortunately they have nothing to give but their good wishes to children everywhere

This is your opportunity to be a part of improving the lives and education of Africans. Every single penny that is collected by this charity actually goes to helping the people.

Nothing is taken in administration costs.
