We are not suggesting that money is not very important but it is how that money is spent which is crucial. 

At the very beginning the Trustees visited The village of Biharamulo in Tanzania and conferred at some length with the village elders and the children of the village. After long consultations with the people themselves a list of projects and priorities was created which with your help are happening right now.

Our first building project.	An ante-natal clinic.
The foundations of the only ante-natal clinic for many, many miles.	Now attended by as many as 80 'mothers to be' per day.

When the World Bank agreed to cancel Tanzania's debt it was conditional that the money was spent on education. They built a school locally for 600 children but no desks, no exercise books and no pens. Now think of a school that big with no ready source of clean water or lavatories.

Need we say more ? This is the sole water available to some 600 African children and teachers. Naturally it floods in the wet season and dries up at other times.		No, we didn't stage this.  This is a genuine lavatory and pupils stand on the logs to relieve themselves on the ground. A medical nightmare and something we are addressing now.

We now have projects scheduled to do something constructive about both of these problems but we can only achieve this with your help. Nobody can say how many children fall sick from such unsanitary conditions but just a little of your money will change this.

In the meantime we have been constructively helping improve the school by providing hundreds of desks as well as books.
